About This Product

The Everbilt Diamond Braid general purpose Rope has excellent handling characteristics. Composed of Nylon and Polypropylene mix which gives it good durability. The Rope is an acid, mildew, rot, oil and gas resistant. WARNING: Knots reduce the strength of the rope up to 50%. Do not use this product for overhead lifting, support of human weight or athletic equipment or other situations where personal safety or valuable property can be endangered. The working loads shown should never be exceeded. Shock (stress, jerk) conditions can reduce working loads by as much as 33%. Never stand in line with rope under tension; such rope, particularly nylon rope, may recoil (snap back). Never use this product to secure large flat surfaces or objects. All ropes should be replaced if signs of wear, such as broken fibers are apparent. Misuse can result in serious injury or death.

        Great rope!
I needed rope that was sturdy and could withstand a lot of pressure with stretching the drum head. It was good and didn't frazzle too much at the ends as I was looping it and handled the pressure as I raised the jacks. It was also pretty easy to untie after all of that which was an unexpected plus!

Pretty good rope, it is very light and durable. It also holds knots well. I used it to hang a tree swing. The only downsides to polypropelyne rope is that it degrades faster in UV light than other ropes and it has a bit of a stretch. When I hung the swing, I hung it high as the rope stretches a bit when weight is applied. Weight limit is 310 lbs but knots weaken it. I do not swing with my kids on it. I trust it for 50 or 60 lbs on a swing. I will probably replace it once a year or use polyester rope next year. This rope is made in China.

I used it for securing 12" X 20' sun screens from the roof eves to mature trees in order too protect our patio raised garden boxes from the intense Las Vegas sun. This rope worked perfect for this application.

When I first broke this rope and saw it was like paper shop towels inside I thought it was bogus. But I have been using it for a few year and have decided it is good, just what it says, 310lb. limit. I would not use it for overhead lifting, or wire pulling, or guiding a tree when falling. But I use it to drag braches and know if I get hung up on something the rope will just break. And not crash my quad or break something in my driveline. Like a circuit breaker. So be careful it is cheap rope, but that's why it's $15.
