Q:Can you put valve on this pipe for hot and cold water. Compression fitting?

Answer This Question

A:  It is best to use a tee and place this in a vertical position. It is a section of straight pipe (solder) that is closed on 1 end. It is intended to be added to a plumbing circuit to trap air and provide a compression chamber to help stop water "hammer" (banging pipes).
