Akger,
Please understand that cast iron will show some wear while being submersed under water for period of times, these pumps are designed to continue to function at a very high level even with that noticeable wear look. Please contact our professionals at 844-883-1872 if you have further concerns or questions.

    Failed again
Bought a self contained unit with this pump a couple years back for a basement bar. Barely use it. Pump failed within a year and flooded an area in my finished basement. Wrote a negative review and the company reached out to me. Told me if I took my negative review down they would send me an upgrade, so I did. Last night went to the basement and water was all over the floor. Pump failed again. This bar is barely used. I worry about this all the time. Terrible product.

    RAH,
Sorry to read about your situation. This pump is designed to be installed in at minimum a standard basin or 18" by 24". This ensures that the pump does not short cycle in a smaller self contained unit. In your bar use application is the catch basin smaller than that of our recommendations? Is there other debris being put through your systems that could create a blockage in the intake of the pump? Please note that we are always willing to work through specific applications with customers and advise as to which pumps should be used in which application. Please contact our experts at 844-883-1872. Thanks.

After my old sump pump quit working, I purchased this one. I like the side float as compared to the other kind of float that is on top of the pump. With this float, the water in the sump stays at a lower level than with the other kind of float. This pump really got a workout when we had 3-4 days of solid, heavy rain. I was impressed with how well it was able to pump the water on a long line (over 150’) to get the water away from the house. The pump is very quiet when it operates and has the ability to suck up small debris like small leaves. Overall, I am happy with this pump’s performance.

I purchased this sump pump based on the overall reviews and the 5 year warranty. My previous Zoeller sump pumps did not last more than a year. The pump was relatively easy to install and it does seem quieter than my previous pump.
