Q:Hinge pin does NOT come out. I?ve tried banging with the hinge open, closed, nothing works. I shouldn?t have to buy a special tool. What is the trick and do NOT copy/paste the generic answers I?ve seen in the other Q&A posts because they?re not helpful.

Aged Bronze Door Hinges
Exactly as advertised, removal and install was easy just take each hinge out one at a time and swap out for these. If you need to remove the pin install on door frame first then hammer out pin with a nail or long skinny screw driver.

Nice satin nickel finish - zero extra screws
Purchased the 24 pack - all of the hinges were good, but two screws had defective heads. Unfortunately, the package included exactly 144 screws, so the two defective screws didn't allow me to install the last hinge. Everbilt should include a couple extra screws or have better quality assurance.

Nice Black Matte finish. Heads up those pins are hard to remove. I didn’t remove them in my installation. They work great. Did all my 13 doors in less than 2 hours.

Easy installation
The pin comes out. I was able to remove it the first time by tapping it out with a Phillips head screwdriver on the bottom and a hammer. It took only two or three tabs. I replaced old hinges, and these fit my old doors perfectly and look great. I included a picture showing an old door stopper attached for proof the pin came out. Don’t mind my doors, they still need to be painted.

Not satisfied
The hinges grind and squeak and look crooked. I can't remove these kinds of pins without significant labor. I do not recommend this product. I bought a 3-pack of chrome hinges.

Great value for quality 3.5" hinges in excellent bronze color. I bought these despite most reviewers saying the pin doesn't come out. I almost believed them, but the pins do come out and easily. It's actually very simple! See the attached photo whereby you put a punch inside the end with the opening (install with cap end on top) and tap with a hammer. Voila! Pin comes out easily and you can then add a hinge door stop or whatever. Hope this helps. If you are redoing a whole house, this value pack is an excellent buy!
