Product Overview

All-Purpose Clothesline is premium quality, saves natural resources, is flexible, easy to handle and knots well. It is acid, mildew, rot, oil, gas and sunlight resistant. Warning: knots reduce the strength of the rope up to 50%. Do not use this product for overhead lifting, support of human weight or athletic equipment or other situations where personal safety or valuable property can be endangered. The working loads shown should never be exceeded. Shock (stress, jerk) conditions can reduce working loads by as much as 33%. Never stand in line with rope under tension, such rope, particularly nylon rope, may recoil (snap back). Never use this product to secure large flat surfaces or objects. All ropes should be replaced if signs of wear, such as broken fibers are apparent. Misuse can result in serious injury or death.
  • Polypropylene and mixed synthetic core
  • Solid braid has a special lock-stitch construction which prevents unraveling when torn or cut
  • White color
  • Maintains firm round shape under stress, saves electricity and reduces wear and tear on clothes

Did not meet expectations
I have an umbrella type wash line; it requires 200 ft of line. I did a bit of comparison shopping and bought this thinking the polypropylene would withstand the sun & rain from Spring to Fall [I take it down in winter] longer than a rope or other type of line. First - it was nearly impossible to thread through the holes on each side of the frame, because the ends immediately fray when cut. It took threading an embroidery needle using two or three of the fibers in the rope to be able to push the line through the holes, and then gently and tediously feed 100 ft of line through on each side. Second - Per my receipt, the wash line was ordered 9/5/19; I'm writing this on 6/4/21 - which means I've had only one full season of use. Third - the line is shredding and disintegrating making it virtually useless. At first, after the aggravation of trying to thread the line, I was pleased because the rope was strong, didn't seem to stretch with a heavy load, and stayed clean. Now, however, I am very disappointed in the quality and not sure what to use as the next replacement.
