A: These are supposed to hold 30 lbs. Each. That would be a lot of string lights. If you have doubts, weigh your lights.

These are great for projects like hanging things in the garage or perhaps as outdoor plant hooks. I bought them to use as indoor plant hooks, but they are too big and bulky looking for me. They are as long as my hand, the gray part that would stick out measuring 2 1/4 inches (and 1/4in. thick). I will likely return and keep looking. But I couldn't downgrade their rating since they seem great for areas of the house that don't need to look as pretty. Very sturdy and great price.
