Needed 3/4" by 6 inch bolts but this was an adequate substitute for my purpose
I was building a jig to compress mending plates to wood for trusses and was trying to get 3/4" x 6" bolts but couldn't find them at the time so I opted for threaded rod and cut them to size in my shop. They did the job nicely and accomplished the same result using 3/4"-10 nuts and lock washers.

Grabbed a piece of this 36" 3/4 - 10 bar. A few corresponding nuts and washers accompanied it.
Cut bar in half, added a few pieces of lumber cut to specific dimensions and wallah...a MOXON VISE was born. See pics

We used the threaded rod on a ledger board installed under our home. The ledger board is used to hold steps leading down from our foundation. This foundation is 12 inches thick and was poured around 1915. We decided to drill through the foundation and use threaded rod to hold the board. We were not confident that the old concrete would accept anchors that bind in the concrete.
This idea worked perfectly as you can see in the picture.

For a general purpose piece of threaded rod, this is pretty good quality. It measured exactly 36" long, thread pitch measured to spec. The zinc coating is good quality. Source is India.
It cuts easily with a hacksaw or bandsaw (I used a portable band saw). The threads on one end were banged up but that's easily fixed in 30 seconds with a grinder. I was able to sping a 3/4 nut from one end to the other with one finger, so the threads are good the whole length.
I used this to draw a new bearing on to the spindle in my lathe, it worked perfect. I'm sure I'll find a ton of other uses for it in the shop.

Everbilt 3/4 in. x 36 in. Zinc Threaded Rod I purchase them when holding doubles or triple 2 X 12 floor joists to prevent them from separating. Just quickly take a disc cutoff 1/8” thick wheel and the threads cut easily with little or no damage for bolts to come off if necessary. There are many other uses. You local Home Depot had many more threaded rods in various diameters and lengths in the hardware section. If you don’t see what yo want go to Home Depot.com and have it shipped free to your local store.
