A bit larger than 5/16".
The outside diameter of the washer I received was 11/16". Home Depot's OD description states 7/8".
The outside diameter of this Flat Washer is 7/8 inch or 0.875 inches.
If you really care about the outside diameter you need to check carefully. These are described as SAE washers so they should be 0.812" +0.015 / -0.007. The pack that I bought was marked SAE and met those dimensions. The other standard is USS and a 5/16" washer has an OD of 0.875" +0.030 / -0.007. They may also be stocked at some Home Depots. And finally, there are 5/16" washers that are nominally 0.750" OD. Bring your calipers.
