I researched many different slide bolts so that we could have additional security for peace of mind on our entry metal doors beside just our deadbolt lock. These were the best quality that we found and simple to install with a drill and look better than we expected. They are heavier than other brands and installed with longer stronger screws to secure to our door frame into studs. With the molding around our door we used the plate that stood out which made installation very simple. Doors sealed tighter, locked correctly and Hubby tested it from inside & outside and plate held as expected. Bought a second one and installed just as simply.
