Q:With a working load of 540lbs, what is the safety factor or the breaking limit? Safety is of concern since the load would be moving and 'working load' doesn't say if it's tested for moving or static weights.

          This product is fine EXCEPT. The measurements and actual opening when the carabiner latch is pushed open is not wide enough to accommodate use of the full measurement claimed. Buy a larger carabiner and/or measure the actual opening before you purchase. BUT if you are sliding something thru the device it does accommodate the measurements claimed (Not latching it open).
