Q:Question of the day: What metal is this nipple made out of? Brass, copper, steel, stainless, cast iron? The description says "metal" which is rather vague. If it is not plastic, then it is metal. I would like to know what kind of metal!

Bought this nipple to connect a blow out line on a water heater, connected it to a flex line. The associate at the store was unsure if it was recommended for this use but wanted me to keep him in the loop. So far it’s working fine.
