Q:what is the width of the narrow brush? I need it for cleaning coils under the refrigerator. There is not much room to get any brush between them so I need a very skinny brush. I can only clean the first row of coils with my hand vacuum attachment.

I picked up this set of brushes specifically to clean the condenser coils on my refrigerator. I have dogs and wanted to make sure the coils stayed clean of hair here in the summer months. The brushes have long flexible metal rods which are great for helping you get around angles. One of them also has a little rope on the wooden handle which is nice for hanging them up. The bristles are strong but flexible. A great tool to make sure your appliance keeps running well.

After using these appliance brushes I realize that I should clean out my dryer. I thought the vent looked pretty clean and the brushes proved that to be true for at least the first 30”, which is the length of the larger vent brush. I shoved the smaller cone shaped brush into the front of my dryer, where the lint trap is located, and pulled out a lot more lint than I expected. I will be adding cleaning out the dryer to my to-do list. I’m glad I used the brush on it.
I used the thin brush under my refrigerator and it knocked off the dust and made it easier to wipe up. Previously I had used my vacuum attachment. That didn’t agitate the dust off of the coils like the brush did. It was well worth the couple of minutes of additional work.

This pair of brushes is handy for keeping the insides of appliances clean and efficient.
I used the narrow brush to clean under my refrigerator. It’s able to get to places that my vacuum cleaner can’t reach. I kept the vacuum cleaner nearby to keep dust bunnies from escaping into the kitchen. When I was done, I was able to rinse the residual dust before I put it away.
I used the wide brush to clean my dryer vent pipes. It worked well on the pipe between the dryer and the wall. I tried to use it to clean the duct attached to the house, but it has 90 degree bends at each end. The brush is so stiff that it can’t negotiate the bends. As with the narrow brush, I kept the vacuum nearby to keep the lint from spreading.
The wide brush includes a little leather strap, which seems to me is intended to hang the brush for storage. The narrow brush doesn’t have the strap, even though it’s drilled for one. Not sure what the logic behind that is.

This Universal Appliance Brush Set is great. It comes with both a 30 in. narrow brush (ideal for refrigerator coils), and a 36 in. wide brush (ideal for dryer vents). They are quite flexible which makes them much more usable and the longer lengths really help. I have a well-used refrigerator coil brush that is very stiff and much shorter than this one and it is a bit more difficult to get between the coils. The 36 in. length of the larger brush will allow me to get all the way through the dryer vent pipe from one end, making that task much easier.
I just (very) recently had to replace the heating element in the dryer and the dispenser valve in the refrigerator so everything was thoroughly cleaned then, but these will make both tasks easier next time.
A good set of brushes.

Amazed at how much lint I got out of our dryer, we religiously keep the lint filter clean. I guess this is how house fires get started. What I did is put my small vacuum with the crevasse tool attached and moved the filters around to loosen up the lint. As you can see from the pictures quite a bit of lint was pulled out. Just a few weeks ago I did this without the brushes and did not get this much out. However, under the fridge I did not get much dust out, not sure where the coils are, apparently not underneath.

Got this brush set primarily to clean the condenser on my refrigerator. The condenser on my energy efficient fridge is different than the old style ones that were on the back or underneath. This one is small but has very tightly spaced coils. Due to the small coils it gets clogged up very quickly. I have vacuumed it but that doesn't get all of the dust loosened out but this brush was able to get into the coils and loosen things up so that I could then get it out with a vacuum. In my case I do wish that all of the brush was the softer bristles that are the blue part of the brush. The hard white bristles on the end do not do as good a job of getting between the coils. In any case, as you can see by the pictures, the coils ended up nice and clean.
I think that the drier vent brush works much better. It has nice soft bristles that dislodges all of the accumulated lint which then blows out when the drier is cycled. I cleaned the vent and then cycled the drier on cold a few times to make sure that all of the lint had been blown out before I turned on the heat.

Better than nothing but too flimsy for serious dusting. And the shafts stay bent.
We were hopeful the Everbilt Universal Appliance Brush Set (Model #98266) would get in those difficult-to-reach places and get the dust out. You know, the ones that are such a pain to reach that you say, “maybe next time”: Under and behind the fridge, and in the dryer lint trap and ducts.
And they do work. Kind of. The bristles are soft and conform to the areas you’re trying to clean. The shafts are very flexible so they follow the twists and turns of the challenging spaces.
But the bristles are so soft and sparse that they don’t “scrub” off the caked-on dust. They need more bristles and for the bristles to be stiffer. They’re just OK for the loose “dust bunnies”. After cleaning the dryer duct with the larger brush I still had to reach in and peel off the remaining layers of lint (see pic).
And the shafts are too flexible! We expected them to be more “springy” and return to their original straightness, but as you can see from the pics, once bent they stayed in a lazy “S” shape. Sure, you can easily bend them back to nearly straight, but you shouldn’t have to.
The handles are comfortable, and both have a hole through them for a hanging strap...which only one of the two brushes had. Maybe it got lost along the way. And the bristles do clean up easily with water (I recommend taking them outside and using the hose).
But overall I’d recommend looking at the alternatives before choosing this set.

This appliance cleaning brush set is really great for both refrigerators and dryers thanks to the two different types of brushes in the set. Each of the brushes has a sturdy but flexible shaft and a comfortable handle (see pictures). The long, cone shaped brush head is perfect for refrigerator coils (see picture). The thicker brush with the longer handle is just right for your dryer and its vent. Considering how many dryer fires occur due to lint build-up, it is very important to have a good dryer brush like this one to use every few weeks! I am glad I have this set. Lastly, using these brushes saves energy because your refrigerator operates more efficiently when the cooling fins dissipate heat well. I highly recommend this brush set!

Refrigerator brush coil cleaner
Used it once in the blue part. Broke off but it did the job well. Just at the bristles blue bristles came off
