Dryer Vent
It is what it is, plastic vent for a dryer and functional. The metal tube for through the wall is just barely long enough to make a connection to the dryer vent hose. A little bit longer through wall tube would make it 5 star. A 1 inch to 1/2 inch longer metal tube would make installation on concrete block wall with stucco outside and drywall on furling strips more comfortable. Note it is still long enough to install, this is just an improvement.

The price point was good. The plastic head was of a heavier grade; liked having a more robust means of keeping larger critters out. My old dryer vent has louvers that would not close after a drying cycle and would allow insects t enter. This has one large circular "lid" that securely shuts when the drying cycle is complete.

So far so good. Installed a couple weeks ago. Installed pretty easy. I will tell you to use a car...
So far so good. Installed a couple weeks ago. Installed pretty easy. I will tell you to use a carbide tipped hole saw that is for Hardi board if that is what you are cutting th hole into if this is new install. The one the associate recommended did not work. I ended up drilling little holes all around in order to make the hole. Other than cutting the hole it was an easy install. I like that it is already white and the "grate" slides out for easy cleaning. I used the reflective HVAC tape to attached the vent piping to the metal tube and then a screw down clamp just for overkill.

Replaced older vent that had internal screen that could not be cleaned and had allowed lint build...
Replaced older vent that had internal screen that could not be cleaned and had allowed lint buildup. This has easily removable outlet guard and an internal damper to keep cold air out.

Critter Guard is useless. It barely clips in the slot...
Critter Guard is useless. It barely clips in the slot with four minuscule plastic tips. And if the plastic body is the one hair out of square the guard falls right out. Count on buying a tube of superglue. The guard will NOT stay put.
