Why does this product have a California 65 warning? Is is safe to use
Asked by Shiv July 27, 2020Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Our systems are completely safe and paraben free. The only reason we are required to apply Proposition 65 is because the ink used for the labels on the outside of the system may contain small amounts of said chemicals.These labels never touch the water or the filters that the water passes through. Furthermore, all of our Systems, Filters, and Parts are manufactured in Taiwan with the highest quality materials, and assembled here in the USA, in our warehouse in North Hollywood, CA. Can this be added to carbon filtration systems or only RO systems?

While it is certainly possible for the Alkaline Filter to be attached to a carbon filtration system, you may not benefit from it as if it were attached to a RO System. this is because the Alkaline Filter is designed to remineralize water that is void of essential minerals, such as RO Water is.
