Who makes this product? I can NEVER get it from Home Depot!
Asked by: Eldersburg
Any luck finding this? I've searched everywhere, nobody seems to have these kits anymore.

What if we have an existing mail post? Can it be placed over it? Also, how do you secure it to the post?

Asked by: Maxine
Yes, we installed it over a 4x4 post and secured it with desk screws

Since this does not fit snug on the post. Will this be shaky in case anything bumps into it ?

Asked by: Adrian
It's screwed in so probably not but since the body is pretty much fiberglass frame I can't imagine that it would survive a hit... at least from a vehicle. I ended up pouring some quikcrete inside the frame once in place over the post. It's pretty snug to be fair and won't move...

POST length needed ????

I am confused by the directions on the video, it says to buy an 8 ft. post, but wouldn't a 7 ft post be more appropriate? if you bury and 8 ft post 2 ft deep, then that leave 6 feet sticking up out of the ground, but the mailbox if 5 ft tall. the Post would then stick out the top by 1 ft, wouldn't it?
Asked by: boba
I am looking to put one in also, however in North Dakota, the fost line is four foot deep. You have to dig down that far to go below the fost line otherwise you will have the ice lifting you box up in the winter and your box falling in the late spring when it melts. You will have to dig accordingly to your area. I need the longer post sizes

I really wanted to love this product but it was shipped to my home so badly damaged it was falling apart in the box. I did return it for a full refund and ordered another one, with extra packaging this time. Again, I received the replacement post, with less damage but still a section on the lower part of the stones had been cracked and fallen off in the box (you could see the inner webbing). It is a lovely post but if the manufacturer can't get it to me without damage (TWICE), then that's a problem. Beware! (Side note, Home Depot's customer service was very helpful and understanding...this product's issue in no way reflects on them. This is 100% manufacturer related.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - really improves the landscape I was amazed when I opened the box and saw the post! The online photos do not do it justice, this is a beautiful, well manufactured product that totally changed the landscape appearance of my front yard. The post is solid molded one-piece, but the simulated stone is done so well that one cannot tell the stones were not individually laid. Installation is simple and easy, IF you READ and follow directions. I placed it right over my existing 4x4 mail box post, and took another reviewer's advice about screwing an additional 2x4 into one side and the back of the existing post to add stability. There is ample room to place the stone post over a 6x6 as well. Follow the installation instructions: do not try to center the new post around the 4x4 or 6x6. Push the stone post completely against the street-facing side of the inner 4x4 or 6x6. Also, word of advice: take the plastic bag of screws that comes in the box, and discard them. They are substandard and will strip if you try to use them. Pick up some 4" deck screws and use these to affix the mail box bracket by screwing through the stone facade and into the inner 4x4. My new mail box post is sturdy, secure, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking I had been looking at this mailpost online for a while and I am thrilled I finally bought it. It looks beautiful. It is sturdy. My only caution is that one needs to make sure to order a standard size mailbox, not a large size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adds Great Curb Appeal This mailbox looks great when you first pull in. In my opinion it adds more appeal to the home versus an all plastic mailbox and post. With the proper tools it is an easy DIY Project, the post is heavy so pending your strength you may require assistance putting it over the 4x4 or 6x6. When attaching the arm for the mailbox I would check all four sides to find the most flat for a better/easy installment. We went with a white mailbox, the kit includes hardware (screws and spacers) to put a new box on as well. I would recommend this product to anyone, very happy with our purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ordered 3 & all came damaged. waiting for our fourth to arrive I fell in love with this mailbox post when I saw it online... so of course I ordered it. It arrived quickly, however from poor UPS handling, it had a hole in the box and the stone was cracked off. So, ordered a second one.....same thing. Ordered a third one....damaged yet again. I am waiting for the fourth one to arrive, and hoping this is the winner! I dont believe the manufacture should get a bad rap, it's really all in the handling from UPS. If I wasnt so determined and in love with the look, I probably would have given up and chosen something else. But I love it and know that once a good one arrives, it will be worth the wait. So be prepared to have problems and have plenty of patience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks like real brick, very stylish This is a high end mailbox post and does not include the mailbox itself. It is a bit pricey but the positive comments I've received made it all worthwhile. The brick portion consists of a sleeve that slides over the post, (not included). Either a 4 x 4 or 6 x 6 post can be used with the brick sleeve. It is fairly heavy so I would recommend having two people to lift it although I was able to do it myself with the help of a stepladder. The support bracket simply screws through the masonry sleeve to the inside post. For this, drilling a pilot hole with a masonry bit is recommended. Since the mailbox was not included, I also purchased an upgraded brown hammered metal mailbox from Home Depot and added brass numbers. The combination looks great and I've gotten several compliments already from both neighbors and passers by after only 2 weeks. The mailman likes it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So worth it! Love it! This mailbox post is just gorgeous! It was very simple and easy to install! We used a 4x4 post that we cemented into the ground for extra support. Followed the directions and a few of the tips that we read in other reviews and it was a synch! So many of our neighbors have stopped and commented on how beautiful it is. They thought that we actually built the post stone by stone! Little do they know it came all put together as one simple sleeve! I would highly recommend this product to everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful looking, easy install. The product looks nice, the installation instructions were clear, and it didn't take too long to complete the installation. The only negative is that the screw heads for attaching the mailbox post to the support post stripped too easily. Make sure you pre-drill with a wide enough drill bit. They didn't go all the way in, and I had to back them out manually.
