I called my local USPS to install lock. Only to find out that it does not pull out open. Even tho...
I called my local USPS to install lock. Only to find out that it does not pull out open. Even though it says it is USPS approved. It is NOT! Don't waste your time or money.

surface mounted vertical mailboxes
Easy to install; the metal of the cover for a surface mounted application is not as thick as anticipated, but it's been in 6 months so far and we haven't had any problems with it; sometimes the key numbers are mislabeled.
