Bad handle
The handle broke off while opening. Either the handle is cheaply made or the tension on the the door is too strong! The 2nd microwave in which the handle has broken off.

Watch out for the clearance needed for door
My microwave was installed between a pantry and normal cabinetry-see photo. Pantry comes out few inches deeper than the cabinets. My other microwave had no issue but the door hinge of this microwave required several more inches of clearance to open fully. The hinge made the door swing out more, so rather than a simple replacement we had to replace with thinner sheet rock to accommodate. Annoying yes, but I realize it's an exception. However, for anyone else in a similar situation, just be aware.
