Yes, you can still wash and dry your sheets and comforters as long as they aren't too thick. This washer does take longer to dry because it’s not a regular dryer. The normal cycle is approximately 3 hours for a medium/large towel load. Obviously, if the basket is full of clothes, the cycle will be longer. The wash cycle (about 1 hour) is the same as any other front load washer. The dry cycle is much longer due to compromises made to do both functions in the same machine. You should only fill the basket about ½ full. This is to allow the clothes to have room to tumble dry. Joyce@GEAppliances
try pressing and holding the start button for 3 to 5 seconds.
Try pressing and holding the Soil and Temp pads together for a full 3 seconds. If you continue to have difficulty and have not already done so, we encourage you to disconnect power to your unit for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. If you continue to have issues once the power has been restored, we recommend calling Bodewell, our authorized service team directly at 1-833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET to have your combo washer/dryer evaluated and repaired as needed. -Vikki@GEAppliances

The normal cycle is approximately 3 hours for a medium/large towel load. If the basket is full of clothes, the cycle will be longer. The wash cycle (about 1 hour) is the same as similar to other front load washers. The dry cycle is longer due to the design that allows you to do both functions in the same machine. We recommend filling the basket about half full as that will allow room for the clothes to tumble properly. -Vikki@GEAppliances
No, this All-in-One Washer Dryer Combo can't be connected to an external vent. -Vikki@GEAppliances
