I love the fridge. I had the GE cafe model previous to this one. Only difference I could see is the handles are updated on this one and the old one had a touch screen. (This one does not)

Pretty good
Wish it had a top shelf in door that you put butter in. The kind that has the cover, most fridges have. Ice machine is super loud. I like how the freezer is set up.

Looks great… that’s about all tho
Visually looks nice. The water filler in the door is ridiculously slow, like we don’t use it. The ice maker drops one cube at a time very slow, we don’t use it. The freezer is quite small. The humming noise it makes isn’t as loud as our old fridge, but this one is still noticeable… I’m taking away another star after typing all this because all that’s left that’s good is the fridge section.

This residential refrigerator went inside my 5th wheel toy hauler. It was a replacement to the other brand that had a compressor failure. Very roomy and functional. Love the filtered water on demand.

Nice Design
I love the design and shelving in this refrigerator. It's very attractive in every respect. The freezer however had a broken cog on the right hand side and service is coming to look at it next week.

Handle fell off and seal came loose
Bought GE refrigerator GFE28GYNBFS in 2021. Spring 2023 the freezer handle fell off when I tried to open the freezer. It has always been hard to open and the handle felt loose. Then the door seal buckled and came off the track. My son put caulk on the door to try to keep food cold. Some GE refrigerators were recalled due to the handle coming off and causing a risk of falls, but this model is not included in the recall. This refrigerator is not worth buying. Hate it.

Looks great
This review is being made 1week with this refrigerator. So far so good. The ice maker only makes 8 cubes at a time. We live in California but the desert part and we go through ice quick. So we have to buy ice. Shelves are strong but the drawers are cheaply made. I fight with the bottom drawer of the fridge daily. I like GE products, just need more options of counter depth French door refrigerators. I should have stuck with a side by side. 😉 It looks great tho.
