Quiet but fails on dish rack
In general I have found this to be a great dishwasher and it is very quiet. However the adjustable tray that exists in the back is terrible. It does not stay in the position and from pretty much the moment I have purchased it I have had to use things such as zip ties and paper clips to keep it in place so dishes don't collapse when using it. If I had to do it over again, I would not purchase this dishwasher for this reason alone

Wash pump elbow fails.
I have had the dishwasher for a little over three years now and the elbow on the wash pump failed. It developed a hole in it and leaked all over the floor from underneath. Not acceptable. Cannot even buy the elbow without the whole pump. Not acceptable.

Squeaky Clean Low Key
Crazy how you can’t see it in the cabinet! I wasn’t sure if it would work pushing start before closing it but bam! It works great and all the space and areas to place items is perfect! I love the quietness and speed of this machine! The dishes and pots and pans look amazing and are perfectly cleaned! Wine glasses sparkle now!

Top rack is a joke
Dishwasher was recommended indicating several key features catching my attention; the flat 3rd rack & silverware basket jets. After several uses, the dishes weren’t clean. Taking out the racks to see what the problem was, the top jet doesn’t have a spinning arm only circular holes. The water is simply dripping over the 3rd rack onto the other dishes without even cleaning the 3rd rack utensils. The top rack is useless. I would forgo this model and Home Depot.

disappointed, plastic parts melting internally
The blade arms are plastic. They have tiny heat shield tips but they do not stay on. We have replace the lower blade twice and they keep melting. Very disappointed in this product. We are looking into replacing/returning this unit. Look for something better with all metal internal parts in the washer area.

Poor build quality = no durability
Believe the bad reviews: this dishwasher served us miserably for two years. Yes, it has the appearance of a luxury machine: multiple cycle options, adjustable racks, steel tub&cutlery tray. But this is all fashion. Wash quality on this machine is very poor even when using premium detergent. Our dishes reeked of wet dog. The very questionable wash tub INTERIOR construction uses some kind of CAULKING/ADHESIVE for waterproofing instead of being one piece! Huh?! The tub leaks accordingly. Garbage.

faulty part
4 1/2 years and the diverter valve failed, flooded the kitchen and ruined the basement ceiling and wall
I have installed a new valve but scared to use it. reports on the internet say the replacements only last a year or so. this seems like a faulty part and GE should figure out how to stop the failures. the failure is in a tiny hose thats connected to the valve
If I was shopping for a dishwasher, (which I might be ) I would avoid this GE dishwasher

Please ensure the following prior to delivery:
- New dishwasher connection kit
- Water supply line (shutoff) within 6 ft. of hook up
- Electrical outlet within 6 ft. of hook up
- The rough cabinet opening must be at least: 24" W X 24" D X 34–1/2" H
