Hi John- Thanks for choosing GE! We're glad to have you in the GE Appliances Family. Optional Icemaker IM5D is not compatible with GE Profile™ Series PYE22PSKSS. Recheck the connections, I had the same issue and disconnected and reconnected and it works fine. Something plugged the wrong place.
Hi - Thanks for choosing our GE Profile™ Series! This model will not accept an optional second icemaker. The space saving icemaker in the door produces approximately 3.6 pounds (approx. 100 cubes) of ice per day (depending on freezer/refrigerator temperatures, number of door openings and other use conditions) and the bucket stores 3.8 pounds. Ice production is dependent on freezer temperatures, which are affected by the temperature control settings, 0F and 37F for models with electronic controls. Dispensing 3-4 cubes 12 hours and 18 hours after installation, allows ice to disperse within the ice bucket, which in turns calls on the ice maker to produce additional ice. Very little food, or no food, in the refrigerator or freezer sections may slow down the production of ice. More food in the refrigerator allows temperatures to remain more stable. See the following link- SLOW ICE PRODUCTION: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17763 - Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
I had it installed by the delivery team and they had difficulty figuring out the logistics but eventually got it. I suggest if you are unsure of your skills that you use a professional.
Hi Josh- Thanks for choosing GE! To check and see if the freezer icemaker (2nd icemaker) is turned on, touch the Ice Maker button (located on the left side of the control under the Freezer setting). The icemaker status will show to the right of the words Ice Maker (located under the temperature display setting). To change the status of the icemaker, touch the Ice Maker button until the desired setting is displayed. NOTE: Not all bottom freezers have two icemakers. Ice Bottom will be displayed on the control after an icemaker is installed in the freezer section. See the following link BOTTOM MOUNT REFRIGERATOR NOT MAKING ICE: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=35909 - Keep in touch at 1-800-626-2005 or visit our Contact Us page at GEAppliances.com. Hi Scottsims1 - Thanks for your purchase! The ice bucket should not "hit" the feeler arm on the icemaker. The smaller bucket is for counter-depth style refrigerators. Once the water has been connected to the refrigerator, the icemaker may be turned on. To turn the icemaker on or off, use the Ice Maker pad on the refrigerator control panel.
