            Growing well but inconsistent size
I purchased two of these plants, and both arrived as bare roots. They are both growing well and have produced lovely flowers, but one of the roots was noticeably smaller than the other. As a result, one of the plants has grown bushier than the other. The roots shown in the picture were purchased in April 2023, while the ones beside the arbor are from June 2023.

              You won’t be disappointed
I ordered the climbing rose and I was so nervous, because I’ve never planted a rose in my life. When I received it, it was just a ball of roots with 2 sticks lol. I planted as the directions said and within a couple weeks I had greens leaves growing. It’s now been a month later and I can’t believe that I have an actual rose bush WITH FLOWERS! it’s SO BEAUTIFUL!

The plant arrived near dead and will likely die on me.

Thank you for writing a review of the Pearly Gates Climbing Rose. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. This item is shipped as a dormant bare root. Sometimes, plants shipped this way may appear to be dead upon arrival. However, dormant or bareroot plants are living plant material even though they may be completely void of green buds or leaves. They've been conditioned for shipping and will be ready to grow after planting. It may take as long as 6-8 weeks before they sprout to the point where growth is obvious. Also, this item is covered under a one year warranty. If you have issues with growing the plant, please contact Home Depot Customer Service. You can find the contact information under "Customer Service" at homedepot.com.

newbie gardener loves this rose root
I'm completely new to gardening and when I got this it was just a couple thorny stems and some roots. Watered and waited patiently and finally leaves are growing! Would recommend.
