A:  This switch is not spring loaded. When the switch is toggled to one side or the other, it will remain in that position until it is toggled back to the center.

    A:  No, it locks to either of three positions. Connecting to two different contacts when up or down and nothing when in the center.

      A:  This switch will work as long as the application is rated for less than 10A, 277V AC or 20A, 125V AC. Since this switch is not rated for up to 48V DC it would not work for your application.

        A:  Hi Fred, the switch in question(GSW-16) is an On-Off-On switch with 6 terminals and is rated for 1-1/2 HP 125-250VAC and 20A/125-277VAC. Hope this helps!
