Button head plugs are ideal for filling in those unsightly screw holes and can be installed easily with wood glue. Button head plugs can be used for a variety of craft, wood working and furniture projects.
  • When fully-seated, the domed, button head protrudes above the wood surface and over the screw hole edge adding a more decorative look
  • Slightly tapered plug body to ensure a tight secure fit
  • Wood grain runs in the direction of the plug width for best match

    A:  The diameter of the portion meant to be inserted into the hole is 3/8". These plugs can be sanded down further if necessary.

        A:  They come in different types of wood . I have one package that are made of oak. Another simply says "hardwood" that are much lighter in color.

          A:  This product is described as ?hardwood,? which in this case means ?maple.? There also oak plugs, General Tools product #311038 - a totally different product.

              Not 3/8"
              Ruined my project twice, if you claim 3/8" on your package then they should be 3/8" not larger that splits the wood when you tap them in, so now I'm sanding the nubs on the back of the buttons down to actual 3/8", wasting my time, I can not recommend a product that is not true to stated specifications, you owe me money and time, I will find a company that sells true 3/8" buttons and they'll get my business from now on! Learn how to read a tape measure before you claim 3/8" specs

                Would not fit a 3/8" hole
                I used a 3/8" drill for hanging a coat hook board and these plugs would not fit. I took my caliper, and they are .40" wide. Will take them back.
