About This Product

Belgotta Black Marble is named after the ancient Belgian region that contains a rare accumulation of dark, crystallized limestone. When polished, the intense, velvety black gives way to the bright, white mineral deposits that cut through the stone like a web of delicate veins. With its stark contrast of dark and light, and sleek, glossy finish, Belgotta Black Marble is a natural compliment to a variety of contemporary and classic styles. Breathe new life into your space with the striking look and sustainable durability of black marble.

Q:Can this be used on white quartz bathroom countertops?
by|Jan 25, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  There are some additional prep instructions for quartz countertops: First, lightly 'de-gloss' the surface with a very fine grit #600 sandpaper. Wipe up the sanding dust with a damp cloth and allow the surface to dry. Once dried, you can proceed with the standard Giani preparation and painting instructions.

Q:Can you paint inside the sink?
        by|Dec 30, 2023
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  If you would like your counter and sink bowl to look as if they’re made of the same material, you would need to use our new Giani Epoxy 2.0. Please note that the Giani Epoxy 2.0 is not designed for unauthorized cleaning compounds such as drain openers. Additionally, it is not designed to withstand impact from sharp or heavy objects (such as pots and pans) that a kitchen sink application may experience. It is also important to note that once the Epoxy has been applied, the sink will be unusable for 7 days while the Epoxy cures. We've tested sink applications with the Epoxy and it seems to perform well. Here’s how to apply the Giani Epoxy to your sink basin- 1. Remove or tape off your faucet and drain flange IMPORTANT - If your faucet or drain flange aren’t removed prior to the Giani Epoxy application, they will become cemented to the bowl. If you decide to replace your vanity in the future, you will likely need a new faucet and drain flange. IMPORTANT - If the sink’s drain flange is left in place, you will want to only tape off its pop-up and the top face of the drain flange. It is vital for the thin side edge of the drain flange to be left exposed as the epoxy will fill in and seal the natural gap between the drain flange edge and bowl surface 2. Lightly de-gloss the vanity top and sink bowl with a #600 grit sandpaper. Wipe the dust with a damp rag, and allow the surface to dry. 3. Apply Giani Primer to the counter and sink bowl. When applying the Giani Primer to the sink’s bowl, use the 2” foam brush. The roller won’t work on the bowl’s curve, plus the foam brush imparts the least visible brush marks. Any brush strokes that are created with the foam brush will became almost imperceptible after the Epoxy is applied due to the Epoxy’s greater mil thickness. • Be sure to start applying the Giani Primer at the top of the bowl and slowly apply the Primer around the bowl’s complete circumference in successive overlapping rows until you reach the bottom. Be sure to get the back side as it’s hard to see, and be certain to watch for any runs and brush them out immediately. 4. When applying the Giani Epoxy to the sink bowl, use the 2” Nuvo angled brush. Again, start at the top of the bowl and slowly apply the Epoxy around bowl’s entire diameter in successive overlapping rows. • Watch closely to ensure you’re not applying too much Epoxy that it’s causing it to run. If you’ve used too much, use the excess Epoxy to continue to coat the bowl as you move down. If you do experience any epoxy runs in the bowl, brush them out immediately. And again, be sure to fully coat the back side of the bowl as it’s hard to see. • When you’ve completed coating the entire bowl with the epoxy, pause for a minute or so and look for any runs. If you see any runs, brush them out immediately Remember: once the application is completed, you cannot use the sink for seven days while the product is curing.

Its beautiful! I definitely recommend this product!
I can’t get over how nice this turned out! We had old 1980s vinyl countertops that were disgusting. Because they were vinyl, I sanded and used 2 coats of bonding primer before starting this kit. I followed all the directions to a T, and the results far exceeded my expectations! I have painted coutertops in the past using regular coutertop paint kits, and I have to say that the epoxy is far superior!

            Great product with easy instructions
I had a countertop in my kitchen that was old Formica. It had chips and cuts in it from years of use. As a DIY woman, I looked at Home Depot for renovating existing countertops and came across Giani Carrera Marble Kit for $200. It covers 35 sq ft of counter space and basically takes the entire day (mostly due to waiting in between coats). As long as you look at the video and read the instructions carefully, the transformation is unbelievable. Here is a before and after picture.

              Amazing Epoxy Kit!
This product is absolutely amazing! I bought it because my fiance and i just bought our first home, and we are flipping it on a budget. This countertop epoxy kit has step by step instructions, a tuturoial video that is also step by step, and on call services in case you get hung up during the process and need assitence. I am not a professional by any means in doing epoxy cointertops, and i had so much fun with the process. I highly reccomend buying this kit, its 100% worth it.

                Awesome!!
Just renovated our bathroom. We wanted to save some money by painting our current vanity and redo the countertop. Decided to give this a try. It looks BEAUTIFUL! While it may not look entirely like marble (my own fault, I’m not an artist lol), but I have received a TON of compliments. Provided is a before and after picture.

                  Giani Carrera Marble Kit
I covered a medium gray laminate with 3 base coats 1 day, then the veining (which I was fussy about) 1 day, then today the epoxy which to me was intimidating, but forgiving! I still see some tiny air spots that I'm hoping will come out during the 48 hrs dry time. Over all it's beautiful. I would recommend taping cardboard on the floor around your cabinets for the drips though. Some of mine found its way through the plastic sheeting to the floor.
