Should probably secure with screws
Fit well, but after tightening the clamps, I was still able to pull it off pretty easily. Would definitely not trust this using only the provided clamps in high wind. I secured it with 6 concrete screws and washers and now its solid.

Blew off in the first night
I like the universal fit, and it seems reasonably sturdy. I installed it per directions except for testing it by lifting it. Unfortunately, the flue of our chimney is apparently too smooth and it blew off in the first night (~20mph winds). I bent it back into shape and tried again, tightening it as much as I can (running the risk of cracking the flue) and the grippers still slide off with the slightest lifting effort. Maybe the limit of my strength in tightening it is not sufficient, but I'm afraid to use a tool and risk damaging the flue.

Just bought this Chimney cap and looks like it was made strong with slightly heaver gauge mesh, fairly simple but strong mounting would be better for me if they used the same v shaped holding braces on both sides instead of the one V and single point on other side. Also noted the top retainer wing nut doesn't have a stop and can be over tightened pulling the top down would be better if they had a stop nut for top cover which I installed one as to stop over stressing top cover

Adjustable grip inside the flue is a joke.
It only has 2 point on one side and 1 point on the other side. I tried like an hour but no matter how much I tighten the 2 nuts to secure the grip inside the flue, when pull it lightly from different direction, it comes off easily. Imagine having this metal cap fall onto your car or neighbor's heads. Terrible design. Better to go with one with screws and L brackets.
