Q:Does the limited lifetime warranty cover the colored part on the front if the finish starts to come off? Would hate to replace the whole unit just because the color started rubbing off.

Good looking with mounting design deficiency
I agree with the review of PJo. This is a beautiful cabinet at a fair price. The backs of the door and cabinet are mirrored as are the sides (taped in place - not good). The pewter finish goes well with brushed nickel fixtures. The problem is the bottom mounting bracket at 8 inches wide cannot reach two 16 inch spaced studs. I cut the aluminum bracket in half, cut out part of the guide, and screwed them into two studs. Like PJo, I modified the mounting design; just be aware.

Shoddy but pretty looking if built right
Door came unglued, Screws stripped easily. A shame because the design concept and weight seemed promising. Maybe I just got a lemon.

Perfect
We love how sleek this looks! It goes perfectly with our brushed nickel fixtures and it doesnt catch finger prints. It feels really sturdy! Were buying two more for our upstairs bathroom.

side bracket morror attachment design is flawed
This is the second set of these that I have purchased and installed for renovations. The first set worked flawlessly in that the mounting holes for the side mirrors were spaced such that they did not interfere with the shelf installation. The holes for the screws holding the mirror brackets should be above the top row of holes for the shelf and below the bottom row of holes for the lower shelf. This is how is was for the first set of cabinets I installed. The second set they changed the location of the holes for the mirror brackets so they are opposite - below the top row of shelf holes and above for the bottom row of shelf holes. Makes it impossible to install the lower shelf.

As others have noted, this is a beautiful piece but I think it falls short design-wise for assembly and surface mount installation. Instructions could have used far more detail and larger pictures:-) OK, let's attribute some of the confusion to us being two 70 year old women, but, hey, we are relatively good at this stuff! First, again, the bottom bracket is a joke as far as its length. We decided that we needed to install a 1/2"d x 19"w x (whatever)h board to make sure we connected to some studs and had enough depth for the screws to really bite. Not easy to find the studs in these 100 year old New England homes as they sometimes used whatever pieces of wood were hanging around and spaced them according to god-knows-what. Not consistent. But we did our best, did the same for the top brackets, and in the end, patted ourselves on the back for a job well done. We bought and used better screws and washers than the hardware provided. Hasn't fallen off the wall. Good sign.
Two other designs issues - the crazy way you have to apply the mirror siding! I really hope this double-sided tape holds way better than most!( I would have designed it so you simply slide the mirrors down brackets along front and back of side surface and have a stopper at the end. Easy and would never fall off.) Lastly, installing the shelving is painfully tedious. It's not something you will want to change frequently when you suddenly own a taller bottle of lotion. Bottom line: would I buy it again- yes, but I'd reeeeeeeally try to find someone else to install it.

We've only had this cabinet up a little over a month, and the finish on the frame is wearing off. Called customer service and they are sending us a replacement part. Don't know if it will be a new door, or just something to cover the frame. Otherwise, it's a nice cabinet.

I bought this for a rental property. It is beautiful with inner and outer mirrors. I even painted the cabinet below to match the frame, I liked it so much that I bought 2 more for another property, and painted that cabinet as well.

I'm writing this for anyone installing this flush mounted not recessed. Very nice mirror, understated. Has a slight lavender tinge to the pewter which is pleasing to me. Could be my LED bulbs though. Pretty straight forward installation however the bottom bracket that supports it is only about 10 inches long, most studs in a wall are 16 to 24 inches apart. So be aware of that. I have sheet rock not drywall and I added a few screws, seems solid. The brackets that attach the side mirrors is just a plain weird design. The instructions show them attaching vertically but I screwed them in horizontally. You then put double sided sticky tape on them then (carefully) press the side mirrors onto them. I assembled most of the mirror before mounting it and screwing in the top screws. The mirror brackets have two round holes next to each other and another bigger square hole. (?) You only need one of the small rounds holes so that was major confusing to me. Got it assembled and up in about an hour and a half, most of the time was spent on figuring out those darn mirror brackets. The entire inside of the mirror is glass as well so if you're into looking at yourself, this is the mirror for you. Overall I'm pleased hence the 5 stars.

Overall, a great product, however, the glass shelves have the manufacturer's information engraved on them. Not really what I'd like to see every morning; kind of indicates the manufacturer was a little insecure needing to advertize to the end-user.
