                      A:  Yes, can be installed both way, I just bought one and I have the some problem, Its a screw inside and you can fix it to be left or right hand.

                          Love these! They are sturdy on the wall and look good. No more messing with the spring holders that pull out of the drywall. TP roll goes on easily and stays on. I do wish that the part that holds the roll could be rotated so that the holder could face the other direction. Would have made placement a little better in one bathroom and allow for placement into a stud. Overall great product.
