Q:Same question as below 10/26. I’ve taken out cover screw and allen screw inside but handle still firmly on. How does this come off as I need to replace the cartridge as handle is leaking.

Q:EXACTLY how is Dorset handle removed? The small chrome cap (1) and set screw (2) are out of end of handle but it does not lift off the round section (3) on attached photo. Do I just pry it off? Is it screwed on through the bottom?

    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you. You will need a 2.5 metric Allen wrench. The end of the handle that faces the spout unscrews using the wrench. Then you will again use the wrench to unscrew the screw inside of the handle. once you lift that piece off, you will unscrew the handle seat and expose the cartridge.

I even had a video, but the easiest part is the weakest link.
Faucet's thin nut was awkward and tiring tighten. Handles in video - large brass nut & screws. Mine, plastic w/tiny hex screws. Thin wrench was hard to get into the tiny screws. Feeder lines have plastic clips. Squeeze to disconnect. If one breaks, as mine did, good luck. I was able to get line off, but the clip is not part of it now. Worse, lines KINK. One did,. Water trickled. PVC over it restored flow to 90%. Lifetime warranty. I called Glacier - on hold for a half hour and gave up.
