Answer This Question

A:  To everyone installing this type of basket: you must apply plumbers putty under the flange then insert it into the sink and press down firmly. Under the sink, install the rubber washer, metal washer, nut, and tighten. Remove excess putty in sink.

A:  Yes, It leaked with me and had to use plumbers putty. I have tried a lot of different one's and always have to use it to keep it from leaking, They need to make a sink that will except a seal from the top, that will be the only way to fix the problem. It is a good nut though.

A:  No I do not think it does. Plumbers putty should be used on the drain basket on top side of sink.

A:  I don’t put it on the underside where the nut goes but I do put it between the sink and basket.
