These screws worked great for me. Used them for decking. I also used for block on temp roof support where is was hitting with sledge. Well suckers held bent 2 ways and still backed out the block. Impressed.

All my top boards on my deck have SS screws. 5/4” I use trim head. These screws were used on 2x8” steps. A little more expensive but they look better than coated screws and can be removed if necessary.

Installed easily, but the real proof of whether the screws are good quality will not be known for several years after they have been exposed to weather and see if they rust or corrode.
