Great saw at a great price
This band saw is great. I'm restoring an antique car and cutting lots of 1-3" thick ash hardwood and the saw with the supplied blade motors right thru it.

Fantastic saw. I also purchased the extender (from Grizzly) so that I can cut 12” thick boards (resaw). It took a while to set up well, but that is expected. When the blade guide adjustment was finally set up the saw was quiet and wander-free. Nice saw, especially for the price.

Grizzly band saw
This is a great bandsaw. Solid assembly, heavy frame. Expect great performance from it. It did have one problem, though. Every time I turned it on, it blew the breaker. Took a while to figure out the centrifugal switch was not properly adjusted. The manual will lead you to it, but does not say how to adjust it. Fairly easy for me and my background, but could be a real problem for some.

A Heavy, Well-built Machine
The first thing I noticed about this machine is that it is very heavy.
A tensioning lever that allows you to release the tension on the blade when you are not using the saw, and the tensioning is also simplified by the use of a calibrated spring with setting for different width blades.
The belt guide system is fully loaded with ball bearings, and should last quite a long time if kept adjusted properly. I like that it accepts up to a 3/4-inch wide blade, making it useful for resawing boards into thinner slabs, as this was my primary planned use for the saw. (Note: the circular insert must be installed 180 degrees from other saws for the 3/4-inch blade.)
The included fence is very easy to adjust and use, using a simple locking lever, and overall the machine seems to be very well-made, as one would expect for the price.
Finally, the 4-inch dust-collection outlet is a plus as long as you have a sufficiently large dust-collection system, which I would highly recommend.
It is heavy & expensive. Overall, I have no regrets.

Cuts good , putting a 6 inch riser on it...
Cuts good , putting a 6 inch riser on it so I’ll be able to resaw logs up to 12 inch wide.
Base was easy to assemble, you will need someone to help lift the saw portion, probably about 150 lbs or more. It wouldn’t been a problem in my 20’s but that was a few decades ago. Also recommend getting a better blade .
