Answer This Question

A:  Terry towels, unlike rags, are not sold by weight. Only by count. But roughly, a 75-count bag will be around 8lbs.

These terry towels do exactly what they are made to do at an affordable price. They are made with quality materials not the thin cheap material often seen in these types of towels. The high craftsmanship is also obvious in the stitching used on all four sides. I haven’t tried washing any yet but I fully expect them to hold up through many washing cycles. Overall, I am happy with this product and would recommend.

Good and sturdy cotton painters towels that are great for wiping down walls before & after painting and wallpapering. Made out of cotton so unlike microfiber you can wring out all the excess water. Not bulky but big enough to do the job. Also good for wiping down bathroom surfaces, cabinets, faucets & handles seeing as they are textured. Hems look like they are sewn well. I would recommend these.

top quality rags for painting, while I am a DYI that paints a lot, I sometime make mistakes, a few drip drops or spatters here and there. Because I know I will have some clean up to do while I am painting I keep a bucket of warm soapy water near by.. when I make those mistakes, I simply ring out a rag and clean up my drip. When down I throw the rag back in the bucket so it will be ready for the next drip or splatter. These are much better then what I usedto use which was paper towels, they tend to fall apart quickly and I use a bunch of them. Because these are rags I can put them in the washing machine and the box will last for the entire project and then some. Also I can use these in the garage for general clean up. Most recently my 3D printer has been having problems with the filament not sticking to the plate, I started using a glue stick and needed a way to clean off the residue. Boy was my wife upset when she saw me using the kitchen towels, by the way they did not work well and left fuzz on the table. With these the fuzz does not get left behind, there is some difference in the texture of the towels, not sure if this is by design, however it works to my advantage as there is a difference of "coarseness" i think of it somewhat like sandpaper grit. I just choose what I need to get the right job done

The familiar "HDX" brand is Home Depot's own personal brand. These are described as painter's terry towels but in essence can also be used for any general cleaning around the home. That is exactly why I chose these for my wife to do her general house cleaning. These towels are made from terry cloth and come 12 to a box and are reusable by throwing them in the washer. The size of the towels 14" Width x 14" Length.

Perfect for lightweight cleanup, or, as the name implies, paint cleanup. They're a good size, not too big and definitely not too small. In the past I have been using "bag-o-rags" which are torn up old T-shirts. However, they come in all different sizes and some are completely unusable. These terry towels on the other hand are uniform in size, weight and have a stitched edge all around so they won't easily tear or fray. I have a stack of similar towels that I use in the kitchen, commonly referred to as "bar mop towels". I'll cycle these terry towels in with them first and when they've served their purpose move them to paint cleanup with my other rags.
