A: Either will help the net stay fresh, but the most important way to do it is to keep it covered and out of the sun when not in use. Fortunately, I store mine in the shade of a tree, hung up on a fence, so it gets protection from the east and the west. I have never rinsed my net and it has lasted fine being protected from the sun.
A: I don't believe either will help. What will help it last longer is prevent it from snagging on any sharp objects, and not allowing the mesh to rub against rough surfaces. I hang mine up horizontally at the side of my pool (in the sun and rain) in a location (off the floor/deck) where it is not abused, and it lasts reasonably long.
A: I keep my net stored out of direct sunlite in a shaded area
A: Thanks for asking! Yes to both - rinsing the net with fresh water after use and storing away from direct sunlight are excellent ways to extend the life of your skimmer net.
A: Yes, if you clean it with water from the hose, not the pool it will last longer. Sun destroys everything. Keep it stored out of the sun.
A: It came with my pool.
A: Hi Robert. Thank you for your question. The pole for this item can be purchased at your local Home Depot in the same ae where the net is located. A: Readily available at Home Depot or any pool supply place.
A: Most any pool store will carry the pole. I haven't seen the poles in Home Depot. The connector ends are all generic sized and will match.
A: The pole is actually available at Home Depot as well but they don’t carry a lot of them. First part of the season is the best time to pick one up
A: It is really mainly a neck about 6” Long with the intention of using it on a longer pole.
A: The handle section on this leaf rake is approximately 5" long. It is intended for use with a standard telescopic pool pole.
A: It attaches to a standard pool skimmer handle, not included.
A: I attach my net to a standard adjustable pole used for pools.
A: No handle, you purchase separately.
A: If the net tears easily, it could well be an import. Try storing the net from the hot sun ... it may prolong its life.
A: This is an add on to my previous answer. I don't see any way to replace the net if it tears or falls apart.
A: Don't know. Only had mine 2 months and it's still in good shape. Maybe find out who makes it and go to website ??
A: We're sorry, but this item is sold as a whole good only, and the net is not replaceable. However, depending on how you use your leaf rake, you may consider look at Poolmaster's new Swivel Skim Elite, which does have a replaceable net. (Available on Homedepot.com - http://www.homedepot.com/p/Poolmaster-Swivel-Skim-Elite-29012/206346878).
A: Replacement mesh is not available for this rake. If you feel there is a manufacturer's defect please call 800-854-1492 to discuss with the manufacturer.
