Yes, these are wire support/clamp pass through connectors that are use to hold electrical conductor(s) with non-metallic sheathing that is commonly used as residential and light commercial wiring. They plug into the standard tap out hole where wiring enters the junction box.

can these be used from inside the box if I don't want to unmount/disconnect the junction box and ...

The parts will work from the inside of the box, but the parts are NOT UL rated to be used this way. We wouldn’t recommend it.

These are the worst connectors that I have ever used. Every single one of them broke. EVERY! SINGLE! ONE! I gave up after about 10. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. They should not sell these. This should be considered fraud.
