A:  These panels are easily cut with a straight edge and a razor knife scored a couple of times it cuts it perfectly

A:  This side panel is to make the side of the cabinet flush with the edge trim.  The cabinet already has a side panel, it is just recessed the thickness of this panel.  I bought this, and panels for all of my end cabinets on the guidance of a Hampton rep.  I didn’t use them and will return them.  

A:  Great questions. The sides on our Unfinished Beech cabinets do not include side panels, and the end panel seen here will help cover the sides of our pantry cabinet if they are exposed. We hope this helps to clarify, and we thank you for reaching out to us to confirm.

A:  Usually the sides of the cabinets are made of particle board, and since the cabinets are usually lined up next to each other, most of the cabinet sides are not seen,  only the ones at the end of a run are seen on the side. Also Particle board doesn’t take paint or stain very well, so this is like a thin paintable/stainable skin to cover the particle board.
