Timeless styling that would look good in many decors. Looks great in our mid century dining area. Moves the air quietly and well. Love the handy remote (no more light and fan speed chains) which both dims the light and provides direct access to the three fan speeds. Highly recommended.

I am writing about a flush-mount installation, bypassing the remote control and using hard-wired wall controls instead. I had asked in the question forum if you can do this and Hampton Bay replied that you could by bypassing the remote control receiver and wiring the electricity directly to the motor and light like you would for a pull-cord type fan. Others complained that the light does not come on instantly and I can say the fan responds instantaneously when hard wired! And no hanging cords. This option should be addressed in the installation instructions in my opinion. These were fans four and five of the five that I installed, and the first three were from a different manufacturer. I had no difficulty with the instructions and they were virtually identical to those from the other manufacturer. In fact, the wiring colors, screw patterns on the motor housing, and everything was almost the same. You do have to make sure that the trim ring is in place before you pull the wires through and connect them, or you'll have to unhook it and do it over. The way it is packaged, with the trim ring in place, it seemed to me that it would almost be more difficult to do it the wrong way, though, at least for a flush-mount installation. The biggest pros to this fan are that it is attractive and extremely quiet. Even in the middle of the night with everything else silent, I cannot hear the motor of this fan. We normally run it at low speed; at higher speed surely the noise from the blades would be audible, but the motor is extremely quiet. The only cons are related to installation. First the good. The bracket that is bolted into the ceiling fan box has wide flanges on it, which is good, distributing any vibration or clamping forces over a bigger area. Also good is that it is slotted so that you can put the machine screws into the box first and then slide the bracket over them and tighten rather than trying to thread them through the bracket. And the dreaded trim ring covers the screws if you remember to install it. The problem is that the width of the mounts in my fan box (a Westinghouse heavy-duty box) did not allow me to center the mounting bracket with the box. If centered, one of the screws is directly under the circular bracket that would be used to hang the fan in a rod-mount installation and there's no way to tighten it. I had to mount the fan about a half inch off center to access both screws and even then had to screw in the one machine screw with the screwdriver at an angle. The box I used is rated for up to 70 lb fans and this one is less than 20, so potentially the spacing is different for 35-lb fan boxes. The fan is mounted now, so I can't measure directly, but from the cardboard template I used to mount the boxes, the mounting screws are about 85 mm apart. If your box has this spacing, you will have the same issue. A second, minor issue was that the light diffuser globe should be a bit taller. For both fans, when I stood back from them, I could see the light bulbs above the top of the diffuser. For each, I took the diffuser down and bent the light bulb brackets down slightly to lower the bulbs, and that fixed the problem. There is a relatively narrow range where the bulbs aren't visible above the diffuser and aren't too close to the glass. For LEDs, even if they were touching I don't think it would be an issue, but it probably wouldn't look right. Other than those minor issues, I am very happy with the fan.

Very happy so far! Four of these units were purchased for use in our association clubhouse. Installation went well and they look awesome! The bulbs that were included aren't extremely bright, but are perfect general lighting for a party, which is what we were after. We'll reserve the original overhead fluorescents for meetings only!

This is a great fan! We bought two and had them installed in bedrooms. They run very quiet and they produce some amazing airflow which is much needed in our California summers. Highly recommend

Love this Flowe Hampton Bay fan! I was specifically looking for a remote control bronze fan where the remote didn't make a beep noise when pushing the buttons. So many other brands of fans these days has a "safety feature" and has an annoying and fairly loud beep when pressing any of the buttons on the remote. This is not good when your using your handy remote to turn off the fan at night in middle of the night. I was pleasantly surprised as well for an inexpensive fan to be extremely quiet. It has no noise when the fan is on. The light shade doesn't make noise or rattle as well. Perfect affordable, easy install and nice design fan! Just a note on installing this fan without light kit as this one sentence is not in the installation manual, but make sure you unplug the light wires so that you can disconnect it and remove the light bulb bars from the part you leave on the fan, then put in the plug mentioned in the manual and proceed. We needed to install another two of these fans in our sunroom and we needed the remotes since they are not hooked to a switch anywhere in the room, so these fans are awesome with the remote for a install like that.

We installed one in the living room, one in our bedroom and one in my son room. The light bulbs are dimmable. We love these brushed nickel ceiling fans and they look elegant for my house. They are very easy to install and they are very quite. The price are reasonable. Yes, they meet our expectations. We would recommend this products.

Great fan was easy to install. Blades are balanced out of the box, no vibration at any speed. Works great with Alexa and Bond controller.

Fan was a good price @ $99 delivered, arrived on time and was easy to assemble and install. Fan runs very quiet and moves plenty of air. No wobble in the blades. Remote workes well and light was a needed addition for the bedroom. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.
