The Hampton Bay Latham 52 in. Brushed Nickel ceiling fan takes design and function to a new level. Utilizing its brushed nickel finish, detail and five reversible blades in pine and cherry finish, this ceiling fan would be a perfect addition to any room in the house. This large room, indoor ceiling fan features a frosted opal glass bowl and includes two 14-watt medium base CFL bulbs. The fan's 12° blade pitch provides greater air movement and features a 3-speed reverse function for year-round comfort and savings.

Q:I need to switch out the receiver since the remote won't turn on the light or activate the fan. I've tried loosening the canopy ring however its not budging. Any recommendations for getting to the receiver? Thanks

A:  We are sorry to hear that you are having this issue. It may help to push up when twisting the canopy ring. If that doesn't work, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to assist further.

    Q:It's been less than a month since I installed the fan, While using the fan only the light parodically will turn on all by it's self, Which is an issue when your asleep and wake up in the middle of the night with the light on. Is there a remedy for this

    A:  Thank you for your question. It sounds like the remote is receiving an interfering signal from another device in the area. This can be easily resolved by changing the dip switch settings in the remote and receiver. The dip switches are located in the battery compartment of the remote and on the receiver. The dip switches can be set to any unique setting as long as the settings in the remote and receiver match. Changing the dip switch settings will change the frequency of the remote to avoid the interfering signal.

      A:  Thank you for your question. A replacement receiver can be ordered by calling Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678). Please reference your fan's model number/UPC when calling. The UPC number will be located on a sticker on the top of the fan motor housing.

        A:  We're sorry to hear that you are having this issue. Please make sure that the ON/D switch in the battery compartment is set to D. The switch is located next to the dip switches. If the switch is on the "on" position, the dimming function will be disabled. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please call Hampton Bay customer service 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

The light fixture provides plenty of light for the room and the remote makes the fan and light easy and convenient to control. The two color options for the fan blades is also great and allowed us to match it to our decor. We had someone install it and it was done in a few minutes with no issues. Love it!

          Great Modern Looking Ceiling Fan That Isn't Too Industrial Looking
          This is a great ceiling fan for mid-size/medium rooms. I purchased two for both my master and spare bedrooms. The style/look are amazing. I do wish the blade color options were different, but still good. The brushed nickel look is great. I purchased these on a recent sale, so the value was very good (only about $120 each). Installation was fairly good (especially better than the $400 that an electrician was going to charge me). I made sure to read the instructions thoroughly so when it came down to step by step everything was smooth. Diagrams were good, all the components were there. The first fan took about 2 hours (on and off...I wanted to take my time and do it slowly, so I installed it in sections instead of doing everything at once) to do, but it worked the first time I turned on the remote! Big sigh o'relief! It was hard simply because I have 10 foot ceilings and rickety ladder! The second fan took barely an hour.

If you have two of the same fan, you will need to change the dip switch settings in the remote and receiver for one of the fans so that each remote only controls the intended fan.
