7/16 in. x 2 ft. x 4 ft. Oriented Strand Board Project Panel

Why pay for expensive plywood for projects that aren't visible or will be used in a messy environment? I'm using three of these boards for shelves in my work area. THere's no double that they'll get beatup and dirty but that's okay. I saved a lot of money with this wood and I love the results.

Nice and sturdy! I used it to create a barrier so my Kittens don't climb up the catio to get to the sheds roof.

What can I say? It's OSB. The important thing is that it's dimensionally correct and not warped or chipped. I had to inspect the ones in the bin at the store carefully to find one that I was sure wasn't dinged anywhere. But when I did, it got the job done -- and filled in a few small spaces I needed filled around the outside of my garden shed under construction. Having a smaller size available for little patch work saved buying a whole sheet.

Bought 6 of these initially (all I could fit in the car) back in November 2017 from my local (General Booth, VB VA) Home Depot to close in the walls in attic open storage in a room over the garage. Very nice quality on both sides of the boards and a nice bright color tone that would reflect the LED battery powered light I planned to install in the space. These were not painted on the sides at all as in the picture. Only gave three stars as I went back today to get several more to finish off the job and all that was on the shelf is a very poor quality board on the rack. There was a mix of pieces with red and blue paint on the edges (not sure what that means), with one side was somewhat smooth with the other side being very rough (with pits and valleys in the board), and the color tone was much darker. Even though this won't be a room anyone would live in, or go in much for that matter, would like to use the same quality board throughout the job. Hoping HD gets more of the quality I bought back in November, else I'm likely going to have to rip some of those boards out and go with something different. Included pictures of what I bought back in Nov 17 and what was on the shelf in Jan 18.
