A:  I've used this product on heating oil fittings, salt water pool plumbing with 100% satisfaction. Works better and easier then Teflon tape.

A:  if you are looking for a high quality thread sealant this should do the trick. to apply this your threaded connection would need to be disassembled, cleaned, apply thread sealant & re-assemble. this is not something that you apply to a leak like glue or caulking.. it is more along an upgraded version of teflon tape.

This is a great sealant for all types of piping. I just used this to get a great seal on the hard airline piping routed through for my workshop with numerous outlets. One can lasted the whole job and can do many more joints. This also works well on plumbing gas lines, electrical conduit that must remain water tight, etc. It also helps lube the threads when attaching new pipe as well and keeps it from rusting together while sealing tight. The applicator brush in the cap makes it simple and easy to use. No fuss and no mess. I use this sealer often and will continue to do so. I recommend it.

I have been using Megaloc for quite some time now in an industry setting. We have used it on threads from 1/8th inch to 4 inches without any issues or leaks. I really like that when you mix the product the first time it seems to stay mixed well for the duration of the can. The problem we have had with other brands is that they dry out in the high heat conditions that we work in, not Megaloc.

Not worth the money, stick with standard pipe dope
As many others have mentioned this product does not hold water both figuratively and literally. I have put together hundreds of tapered thread fittings and have rarely had issues when working carefully. On this project I picked some of this up to try. Of roughly 20 connections three quarters leaked. As a result I redid all the ones that had not leaked as well. Simply not worth the risk. Back to standard pipe dope, the remainder of this tin went to the garbage. Believe the one star reviews, on this case they are telling the truth.

        I do not recommend
We run a professional renovation company. We normally use Teflon tape, and for areas we will no longer have access we use Dope. This time we tried Hercules Thread Sealant as Dope was out of stock. We stirred the product thoroughly before use, and checked all joint were sealed before we left. A week later we had to come back and redo every joint we used it on, as they were all leaking. I do not recommend this product.
