12 gauge galvanized wire
This product comes up in a search for ‘galvanized steel wire’ at Home Depot. It is soft & Flexible and I would guess that it is aluminum, not steel. The 100 ft. roll has a very small diameter (~8”) so its ‘memory’ makes it difficult to use/uncoil without kinking, especially in long runs. I would assume that the smaller packaging (not as seen on the Depot website) is for shipping ease and display, but previously the rolls were 2 feet in diameter which made it easy to mount in a wire jenny for no fuss unspooling. I would not buy this product.

It’s nice wire. It didn’t work for the purpose I had in mind; but that’s more of a user issue rather than the product. I was wanting to make wire hoops for my veggie garden, and the gauge is a bit thin but they are an economical temporary function until I can get either thicker wire or PVC pipe hoops. It takes some strength to shape it, it’s malleable, but I wouldn’t say easily workable, consistent with the gauge.
