Answer This Question
A:Â No it is not. That being said, you can seat them and pose them pretty well. The joints are stiff enough to hold almost any position.Â

The skeleton is as stated, 5' and articulated. Was presented in perfect condition. All of the skeletons this size or smaller are on the more delicate side no matter where they are purchased so it's good to take care regardless. This one serves its purpose perfectly and is the centerpiece of my Halloween decorations. We chose not to have the LED eyes on, so they don't appear here...but they do work.

This skeleton is great! We named him Jeff and he travels in my car much to my daughter's delight! Comparable models were a lot more expensive online, this one was in very reasonably priced and in stock at my local Home Depot.

Fun but needs maintenance.
I've always wanted a 5ft skeleton and finally decided to grab one this year since they've been getting more expensive. Home depot had the cheapest one in my area (It's still pretty expensive compared to how much it sells for in US stores though). Its eyes are super bright and I love how the face looks, however...
tl:dr I quickly found out that it requires a bit of care and maintenance to make sure it lasts. You'll benefit a lot from having some small screwdrivers and a wrench handy to loosen screws and bolts, or open up the bones to do repairs. Make sure you're gentle with it too.
My skeleton was working fine, until I posed one of the legs and it popped right off the joint at the hip. It turns out the manufacturer accidentally attached the hip backwards onto the ratchet joint, so I had to unscrew the two halves of the upper leg and reattach it myself.
The ratchet joints are held in place with some thin plastic housing inside of the hollow bones. Since the plastic has a tendency to crack (my first skeleton arrived with a broken hip and had to be exchanged) I thought it best to loosen the ratchets at the hip to avoid stressing the plastic housing too much. (You can loosen the ratchets by loosening the two nuts inside the pelvis with a wrench.)
I've also found that the ball joint at the shoulders isn't perfectly spherical, so you can't rotate the arm the full 360 degrees without risking a crack. To avoid this, I removed the two outer screws and loosened the two inner screws at each shoulder joint to allow more room for the socket to expand without stressing the plastic too much. There's still enough friction to allow the arm to hold a pose, thankfully.
Also, although the hands look like they're on ball joints at the wrist, they're actually on hinges. Don't try and forcefully rotate the hands sideways unless you want to risk some damage.
The head also doesn't rotate, which I expected after doing some research. I've heard that you can cut/remove two plastic pegs inside the head where it attaches to the neck to allow swivel rotation but I haven't tried it myself.
The jaw technically opens, but it feels more like you're bending the plastic a bit to do so. It doesn't really stay open. There should be a way to modify the jaw to rotate but I haven't looked into it yet.
Despite all this, it's still a pretty solid skeleton. Just if you have kids, they should be aware this isn't a toy and needs some proper care to ensure it has a long life (afterlife?). I can definitely see people accidentally damaging it if they're not careful enough. If you're going to stand it up somewhere, be sure to tie it to a stake or some other form of support so it doesn't fall or get blown around. If a joint feels too tough to move, don't force it and see if you can loosen some nuts or screws somewhere to help.

Nice decorative Halloween skeleton. I wish the arms had more movement. I was able to use zip ties to get a cool posture. Over all very happy with the purchase for Halloween

Head will turn!
I never write reviews but I read a lot of reviews of people saying they wish his head would turn. Well.. I am happy to report there is a way! Simply unscrew the screws connecting the neck and the ones in the back of his skull and give his head a good twist! Bought the wolf as well and they make me smile every time I walk up to my house. Awesome price as well!!
