Q:can this rod be cut to make it 24"
by|Jan 27, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Dear Mike. Unfortunately, we don't custom size rods. 24" is very small and it would be hard to find this rod length size in the market.

      Answer This Question

A:  Dear Natalie. The length of the wall anchors are 1.24" and the front diameter around 0.516". I think it is quite standard, but you must just make sure the screws fit.

Q:Do grommet curtains slide easily on this rod or do they get stuck at the connection points when I am closing the curtains?

        Answer This Question

A:  Dear Vorhaenge. The only obstruction will be the center bracket. When the close the curtain panels on both sides they will meet at the center bracket. The gap will be around 3/5" .

The curtain rod is sturdy at 1" diameter--particularly with the additional telescoping smaller diameter bar inside to increase the total length to fit a wider window. Brackets are not the prettiest, but were easy to mount. The short, low profile finial at the ends of the curtain rod are good for fitting into tight space up near an adjacent wall.

Needed this for a quick project just to add a little bit of privacy to my glass screen door. I didn't measure beforehand so it was way too large but the middle metal pole does come out So I'm just going to keep it in case I ever have to use it for anything else.

Excellent, used 2 sets to extend to 180 inches.
Thrilled I was able to use a total of 3 of these (for living and dining area)72-144 inch max telescoping rods. My living room area has a long length of windows I wanted to cover, total length for the living room windows was about 180 inches long. I have attached a photo of the end of one rod (I used total of two sets for the living room). At the end of rod set you will see one end that has five punched out circles (used for attaching finial to the end) well, I only needed total of 2 finials for the living room so on my leftover rod with the circles I inserted a piece of long thin pipe into the other end and tapped/hammered that five circle piece off. Now I could this one ‘modified’ rod to add length to the other living room rods, giving me a total of 180 inches long. Dining area I used one set of 72-144 inch rod. Used 3 rod brackets (one in center, two on each end)for living room area and lightweight JCPenney voile 108 height curtains. If you have heavier curtains I highly recommend you use additional rod brackets.

I purchased this curtain rod to hang a new valance...
I purchased this curtain rod to hang a new valance in my bathroom remodel. The brushed nickel finish matches the brushed nickel of the towel racks / hardware nicely. I like the small profile knobs on the end since one end butts up close to the wall--plus I was not looking for anything flashy. The mounting brackets are beefy and stick out farther from the wall than I need, so I tried to shorten them as best I could with their screw adjustment feature.

            Better solution!
I tried plastic magnetic hardware to put window treatments up for slender front door windows to no avail. So I decided to get easy install hardware on door frame to hang a curtain rod over the door instead. It's a better solution!

Connect two rods together for 155 inch rode
I used 2 rods to put a longer one together. I used a finial screw to connect the center sections of each rod. It is flimsy at the connection point but lined up nicely with a bracket to help support it. I also added star finials taken off of other rods I had purchased from Home Depot. Very happy with the way it all came together. (The two larger rods are on the ends with finials, the two smaller rods are connected together using a finial screw)
