This is an absolutely beautiful light fixture. It’s very modern and chic at the same time. You will want to use a bright bulb if you want the light to be bright. I used 60 watt bulb

Not so easy to install unless you have tiny hands
I picked this up yesterday and thought it would be the standard 5 minute installation, but I was wrong. THe inner and outer glass pieces are held in with a screw-on collar which, for me, was near impossible to get on, much less get screwed down snugly. The reason is that the brown outer ring is so close to the glass my hands won't fit inside. I could only get my fingers inside. In the end I had to leave the collar a bit loose. Then there was the attempt to get the bulb in. The first bulb I tried wouldn't even fit between the glass and the decorative brown ring. Once I got a bulb that would fit, it was very difficult to get it screwed in. Lastly, the mount bracket is a one-way bracket, meaning it cannot be flipped over to orient the mount screw slot over the screw holes in the electrical box. Usually there is a mount plate you can flip over if the slots aren't alignable with the electrical box. To overcome this I had to drill out my mount holes in the mount bracket. This would be a much better design if the outer decorative ring was removable and it had a separate mount plate independently adjustable from the light base.

Love. These.
I used 4 of these to update the lighting in a long hallway. These look beautiful and throw off a lot of light. I have 60-watt bulbs in them, but I believe they can take up to 100W. Installation was easy...my hubby has been working a ton and my impatient self didn’t want to wait for him to get home to help. Yes, the “wood” is metal, but very realistic looking. You have to get up close and personal to see that it’s not real wood.

This is a beautiful light fixture. Installation was easy. The pictures do not capture the true beauty.

Good looking sconce, and easy to install. We used an LED bulb in it, and the frosted glass enclosure diffuses the light over a good sized area. We swapped out a different sconce for this one--we used it in our entry, but it would be great anywhere you need a wall light. Oval surround is metal painted to look like wood grain--nicely done! We got two of these, and are enjoying them a bunch.

I totally love the look of this wall sconce. It's literally got everything going for it and will work with any decor. I love the chrome back which really sets of the bronze surround and the opal glass within the clear glass gives this light a really nice glow. It's definitely a quality product made with steel so it doesn't have that flimsy feel to it. Instructions were clear on putting it together and we're going to use it to replace 2 really out of date sconces we have in our bathroom. Nice bonus that it can coordinate with the new bronze fixtures we're using.

I recently remodeled my half bath. This sconce is perfect in size for the small space and is quite unique and stylish. Not being a DIY-er I had it professionally installed. The bronze color Also coordinates with the chocolate colored cabinets. I would buy some more and place one on each side of the mantle on top of the fireplace. It is also sturdy and looks like it will last a long time.

This wall sconce is a beautiful design. The wood grain look of the ring is very pretty, however i do want to note this is in fact metal, that when you look closely you can tell its painted on 'wood look'. I am sure this is necessary so that the wood doesn't get too hot and become a fire hazard but it was unexpected for me as this appears to be wood in the pictures.

Weighing in at just over 3-1/2 LBS, this wall light fixture (sorry it’s called a sconce nowadays) is both easy to install and very pleasing to the eye with its polished nickel/corona bronze finish. The two glass inserts are a novel design and totally suite this unit for appearance. However, the measurement of the inner etched opal glass is 3-3/4 inches in diameter and getting my hand down through the center around 4-1/2 inches deep in order to secure them using the threaded cap was, shall we say, interesting. The good wife came to the rescue by threading the cap with her petite hands. That was the only difficulty I experienced. I easily wired it into an existing wall junction box using the supplied hardware. Rather than use a 100-Watt incandescent light bulb as per suggestion to the maximum wattage, I went for a non dimable E26 medium size A19 LED as not only produces the equivalent of the 100W but it only uses 13Watt and they are shatter resistant. The resulting effect is a diffused appearance in a very unique style.

This wall sconce is another nice product from the Home Decorators Collection. Our early 70’s 20 ft. long hallway with low soffit ceiling is a difficult area to light well. The light fixture is near one end. There’s a 6 ft. long closet on the opposite side but several feet from the light. The thermostat is on the same side as the light, and a smaller linen closet near the open hallway end, also on the same side as the light. The furnace/water heater room is at the closed hallway end. All were hard to see well, especially at night. We replaced an old (1997) ceramic upward pointing ½ moon shaped wall sconce with this one. (We don’t change fixtures often.) This new light is very attractive and illuminates the entire hallway pretty well for our needs. The woodgrain “halo” adds a very nice touch to the appearance of this sconce. While this fixture is rated to use up to a 100 watt incandescent bulb, we’re using a 60 Watt equivalent Daylight LED to get as much bright, natural appearing light as possible. The Daylight bulb is a bit harsh so the sconce would be more attractive with a warmer bulb (2500K or 3000K), and a higher ceiling, but would not provide the type of light needed here. This sconce, with a dimmer, would be really nice as an accent or ambient light in a living room or bedroom. Installation was a bit difficult only because my fat, old hands could not easily get the nut in the globe. Fortunately, my wonderful bride came to the rescue with her more slender hands and longer fingers. The brass mounting screws were a bit short for mounting the base plate to the box, but a couple of 1 in. 8-32 screws solved that problem. Overall, this is a very nice wall sconce.
