Gordon Brown Leather Sofa

I bought this at the end of 2019 and It doesn’t do well with wear and tear. We Don’t consistently sit on the same sideAnd it hasn’t even been three years. Disappointing

Just artived and I like it. It’s a bit firm but comfortable. I needed something that’ll hold shape even after continuous use. This seems sturdy enough. The Chesterfield design works for that reason. I like the low profile because of its color. Does not overwhelm the space making it dark. It’s only 30 inches tall in person. I think it looks smaller because of it. Glad I bought the sofa instead of the loveseat. The fabric is velvety soft and smooth. It reflects light and hues from surroundings. Blends in nicely. I paid 800 shipping. I don’t think it’s worth so much. I would not have even looked at it twice if I saw it in a furniture store, honestly. But now that I have it in my house it seems like an interesting piece.

I absolutely loved the look of this couch and thought about purchasing it for over a year. When we first got it it looked wonderful, but within a year the bonded leather (I honestly didn't even know that was a thing when I purchased it) started to peel away. I tried to use a leather "paint/stain" to improve the appearance, but the upkeep was so time consuming I ultimately have given up. You can't even flip the cushions because there is a zipper (no idea why because I have never seen an option to purchase cushion covers which I might consider!) AND the other side of the cushions are just fabric. This was an obvious attempt to cut major corners to increase the profit margin on what could have been a beautiful piece of furniture. I hope Home Depot takes the opportunity to fix this mistake. Discontinuing the bonded leather version and sending replacement cushions to those who purchased this poor quality product would be a good start. We all make mistakes.

We purchased the "Gordon tufted sofa" in brown 'bonded' leather a few years ago. Initially, it looked very nice and the 'bonded' leather seemed an acceptable substitute for real leather Chesterfields that cost 50%-100% more. However, within a year the leather began to crack and peel off the cushions. I wrote into Home Depot/Decorators, asking if I could purchase replacement cushions, but none were available. Very rapidly, the rest of the sofa began to crack and peel off. Please see the photos below. This is an exceedingly poor quality product that I regret purchasing. I candidly feel the 'bonded' leather versions should not even be offered, and Home Depot should refund what I can only imagine are all the dissatisfied customers who expected more of Home Depot service and customer satisfaction. Note: This sofa was lightly used. It deteriorated so quickly that we couldn't sit on it; every time we sat down bits and chips of the bonded leather would fall off, which we'd have to vacuum or sweep up. What did we ultimately do? We moved this to a different room (where it is still a terrible eyesore and we plan to just get rid of it soon) and we paid 80% more to purchase a real leather Chesterfield which to this day has held up in impeccable condition.

I Purchased this couch two separate times. Both times the cushion peeled. It is a beautiful couch and I loved it. We do not sit in that room very often. Yet only the seat cushions both times peeled off. Both times after two years. I asked Home DEPOT to replace the cushions. But they said that they could not. Hi decorated the room around that color couch so it isn’t so easy to replace it I thought it would be easier just to get the same one. I’m disappointed

This couch is beautiful! The color and quality was exactly what I was hoping for. Delivery and pickup was fast and easy. I highly recommend this product.

The leather is soft, and the cushion is very F I R M. Reviews for the other colors point this out. I find the leather to be very durable, and no issue for my dog who has claimed it as his main bed. But this is exactly what I was looking for. Because of my bad back, I like sitting up, not sinking into my furniture. The color is a beautiful industrial blue. Almost looks a little gray in low light. The price is much lower than chesterfield style couches found elsewhere. Was fun to see the look on the HD associate's face when I told them I was there to pick up a couch. Delivery was not available...I had to pick it up with my trailer. No issue getting an HD associate to help load it. It was packaged very well, with no defects to it. Substantial weight...very solid piece. Got this on some kind of special sale. So for the price, this was an amazing purchase.

I’m actually sad to write this review. This couch was my dream couch, literally this was what I always wanted a blue tufted sofa. Now I have had the couch a little over two years and it started peeling close to the second year. When I called customer service, they had no solution for me especially since at the time it had only been a little over a year and half. Now I could understand if my sofa was getting the normal ware and Tare no one has really sat on it and it doesn’t get any direct sunlight to damage it. Now that we are going over the two year mark the peeling in the arm section had gotten worse. No where on the couch is there any other peeling. Just disappointed that I got my dream couch and it’s not holding up the way I expected and that customer service was no real help. Not even something to prevent the peeling from continuing.

I am an interior designer with my own business and have purchased multiple sofas for clients. I fell in love with this sofa online and purchased it for myself, sadly I was hugely disappointed. Within a few short months the sofa began to peel and revealed a horrible shade of pink underneath. I urge you not to purchase this sofa even though it looks so fabulous online, I promise it will be nothing but a disappointing waste of hard earned money!
