What do the edges of this look like? I may use this in a way that leaves one edge exposed. Basically, does it have a "clean" side/edge?

Got this flooring today. Love the color and texture. However, I was surprised to see all the planks are the same length (72 in.). We're laying the floor in our 12 x 12 kitchen, which makes it challenging to arrange the planks in a more random layout. We saw that the ends of the boards lock in addition to the tongue and groove on the sides. But is there any problem with cutting a few boards a bit shorter to help achieve a more random look? Or is the end locking crucial to keeping the flooring down. Seems like the click/lock on the T&G would be sufficient to keep it all flat, but thought I would check.
Asked by: Lou
The cut ends would go against the wall, so that enables the "random" pattern. When I had this flooring put down in my home, I told the installers I also wanted the very "random" look and that is how they achieved it with very little waste.

We want to use this in our future bath remodel. Some concerns are if the white will stay white or discolor over time? Does it clean up easy - hair products get on the floor and collect dirt. Does it scratch easy ? I'm concerned the white will show more damage or discoloration. Thanks!
Asked by: Futureremodeler
As a contractor, I have used this particular flooring in my own home & am content with the quality for the money. However I do highly recommend NOT to use in a bathroom.

I plan to use it in my kitchen. Is it OK to place the cabinets over the bamboo?
Asked by: WhiteKitchen
In general, you don't place cabinets on your flooring. I would suggest not to. Reason being your house shifts (expands/contracts) throughout the year due to environmental conditions. You can, but you increase the risk of damage to your flooring from all the shifting. It would scrape the wood and loosen it or cause ripples over time. If you are float installing your wood floor it would negate the pro's of floating by pinching it to the sub-flooring and causing even more opportunities of damage.
