I am happy with this filter system and looking forward to the benefits of cleaner water in my house coming from my well. I chose this system after considerable online comparison shopping for price and performance specifications. I installed it myself, I would consider it to be a typical plumbing DIY project meaning you should have some basic plumbing experience and skills in order to do this. With that said it was a straightforward installation. I installed the system ahead of the softener because I wanted a filtered non-softened line going to the kitchen. One of the features of this system was the minimal pressure drop so I anticipate no performance impact to the water softener. The quality of the system and materials seem very good and robust, I'm confident it will last a long time and periodic filter changes should be easy and quick.

It did not remove the sulfur smell from our water. It's definitely better. But for the price paid...
It did not remove the sulfur smell from our water. It's definitely better. But for the price paid I expected better. Also.when screwing the canisters back on very difficult to get just right without leaking. I had to do it three times until it would not leak, and i have been a plumber for over 20 years.

Overall - I am pleased with the system. It looks well built ( I hope the plastic lasts for many years ) and the companies customer service was stellar. We receive our water from the city who has deep wells, which makes for hard water at the tap. Now it's like bathing in bottled water.

Installed next to my PEX manifold boards over the hot water heater. In use a couple weeks, and so far we're very happy with it. The mounting bracket and filters and very sturdy and well-made. Had no issues with leaks. The system is very heavy and the filters are very large, so proper attachment to the wall is critical.

I purchased this product, not because our water was bad, but mostly because we have enough sediment to be a hassle. The carbon water filter is just a precaution. It is too soon to rate its performance, but the installation was very easy. It installed in less than an hour. It does not seem to have reduced our pressure in any way.

Very good water filter system
I installed this filter unit myself 10/22/13. My water comes from a community well. The water was brown in a 5 gallon bucket. My faucets and toilet were coated with crud from the water.
After using this filter system for 1 year, my faucets, toilet, shower do not have the mineral build up anymore. The water is nice and clear in the 5 gallon bucket test. I drink bottled water so I can't compare taste in before and after comparison.
Very nice setup. Not too hard to install. I'm an avid do it yourselfer. I recommend using Teflon Tape on threaded fittings. Then you won't have to fix leaks later.
I used 1" PVC with universal disconnect fittings and bypass valves.

Whole House Filter
I love this filter, it works great and really improved the water in the house. I don't have the chlorine smell any longer and the dishes and clothes come out clean with less soap. I paid $250 to have it installed in my garage, the plumber was really impressed with it. My house had a 1.5 inch pipe that needed to be reduced to fit the filters 1 inch opening, there is no loss in pressure. Great price and ease in installing. I wouldn't have been able to do it myself since I don't know how to do much plumbing work but for a DIYer who is comfortable welding pipe than it should work out okay.

So happy to have safe, good tasting water.
I am so glad I had this system installed in my home. Our water is very hard here in Las Vegas and this system remedies that for me. I can drink the tap water and bathe without that extra dry feeling on my skin. I would recommend this system very highly to my family and friends.

Wanted a product to CLEAN my rusty, yukky water and I found it at Home Depot!
I've had subject product installed now for two weeks. I already notice a wonderful change in my water. It is no longer rusty, it looks whiter and brighter, and it does not smell (that's the best part). Stains in my toilets are diminishing and my shower water pressure is better. I can actually fill up a glass with this water and drink it. I also notice it in my clothes washer; I don't need quite as much laundry soap. Product boasted within three months you will see a difference, well, I've seen it in two weeks. I love this Home Master product. Much better than just a water softner, it makes water taste and look like it should.

Coming back here after owing almost 4 years. This company backs their product. Mine was fine, but when installing new filters recently, the black housing cracked and made a big mess of course. I contacted perfect water and they acknowledged older units had a potential issue with the housing cracking. They are sending a new unit with the latest, better components. That is great service outside of warranty with a single phone call. The product does what it says and works well.
