    Q:Installed and it worked fine. Left for a few months and now there’s no power in the fan vent. There is power at the switch but not in the unit? I am not an electrician so 101 for dummies please thanks.

        A:  Hello Vent, A couple things to try and if neither resolve the issue, please send us an email at support@hwcares.com to discuss. 1. Long press POWER button on wall switch until hearing a "Click", this is to turn off power. Long press POWER and restart the device again. Wait a few seconds until the device is connected again, see if the blue light disappeared. 2. disconnect the grill for a few min then reconnect Regards,

          Wall switch connection is faulty on all devices
          There is a design fault that the manufacturers still haven’t addressed, look at the number of negative reviews all with the same issue and poor advice from Homewerks. The issue is with the wall switch not connecting to the fan properly, becoming unresponsive, and causing a factory reset. Tip, even when the wall switch is unresponsive, if the device hasn’t reset yet, you can still control it from the app or with voice.

          Hello Richard. The switch can be paired by holding down the light button (the one on the top left) until you see the fan light start to blink. Once it stops blinking, you can let go of the light button and the other buttons should start to work.             Overpriced Junk
            I got this fan as thinking it would be a great upgrade. Now that I've owned it about a year I can say pass on this one. The mount system was a royal pain for my application but the main problem is the light/fan will not stay connected for more than a couple of days. I have good connectivity in that part of the house but it drops off more than it stays on. Now the grill for the fan is rusting out. This should not happen so quickly for a product expected to be in high humidity.

              Not worth it
              Really good idea, really poorly executed. The ceiling fan no longer stays tight to the ceiling. Was secure for about a month then it started dropping. Also, device is constantly loosing connection.  Wifi signal is always above 85%. My other devices never loose connection.  Also the light switch is very glitchy. Sometimes the light on works but can't turn it off or turns on then can't turn it off.  Very unhappy with this purchase.

                Very happy
                We installed this fan about a month ago. We are very pleased with it. We had bought a smart switch for our bedroom that was a high cost just for a switch so I was pleased this came with a switch. The switch is ready to use, and requires a light touch. We have the fan linked to our Alexa app and it functions seamlessly. I love being able to tell it how long to run the bathroom fan for, listen to music while showering, and use for announcements to tell my kids to get out of my shower when they have been in too long. The only connectivity issues have been when our Internet or router is not working. Installation is not likely for a beginner DIYer. We have been so pleased we are going to replace our kids bathroom fan with this one, because it moves the air or off the room so well. Can't speak to the longevity of it, but it's 1000% better than the cheap one in our other bathroom. I can't even find a new replacement vent cover at the store that isn't already broken.

                  Nice idea, poor product
                  Purchased and within 2 weeks of difficulties with connectivity the support team send me a replacement (something to do with outdated firmware on the original). Worked for a day or so and product continually disconnects and I’ve given up. 1 year later the bracket that holds it in ceiling, is connected to the fan with plastic housing and the plastics broke making the fan hanging/dangling. Don’t waste your time and money on this product.

                    This fan is a waste of money!!
                    Purchased this so excitedly because I have to have music while I shower and I was tired of the Bluetooth shower players needing to be charged constantly. I can't express how disappointed I have been by this purchase. Alexa disconnects daily. Literally. By the time I actually get in the shower after trying unsuccessfully to get the internet and Alexa reconnected, the hot water has almost run out. I rented an air bnb recently and experienced the same issues there with the same brand fan. Terrible.

                      Did a full home remodel. Vent lasted 1 month. At first very hard to connect to Wi-Fi as wrong App is listed in instructions. When finally able to connect, used Alexa about 4 times and stopped working. Only fan was working. Reached out to company and got email response. Problem continued so I emailed back and never got a response. Now have a non working vent which rusted in 6 months. Will need to replace. Do not recommend. Better to get a regular vent and use a wireless speaker.

                        Breaks
                        I had this installed by professional during remodeling. Plastic piece on inside has broken twice. Agree with others on Alexa works when it wants to. Light doesn’t change like it’s supposed to either.

                          Hope you don't have issues. Zero customer support.
                          Hired a Licensed Electrician to install ($125 an hour / 2hr install + 1 hr troubleshooting). He installed it and turned the breaker on. The fan came on as well as the bright white light and alexa blue ring. After exactly 10 sec, the fan shut off, light changed to soft white, then turned off, then blue ring turned off. It now repeats this every 10 seconds. Tried factory reset, did nothing. Still doing it. Their CS is only open M-F 0830-0530. Exactly when everybody else is at work.

                            Alexa will disconnect constantly
                            Bought this so baby girl can have music in the shower and Alexa, now trying to figure if I can bypass straight to the lights and fan. Just glad I used 14/3 romex to wire this. -Alexa will de-pair constantly and is a pain to reconnect and requires 3rd party software on a phone that is not straightforward. -Will de pair from the wall constantly -The controls are to complex for older and younger people (in-laws can't use the options) -Clogs easily (clean often). +Good Fan Flow rate and light.
