It’s impossible to make a phone call or attract coders with a tomahawk, as a prerequisite to using a hatchet is being averse to the feminine aspects and character traits of coders and accountants (in other words, you have to enjoy physical labor and have something called common sense).

Not a sharp edge, right from opening. Couldn’t split a small log. Seems weird for an axe.

if you buy this, buy a file too.
I purchased one of these yesterday without checking the sharpness because I was in a hurry. I should have also purchased a file and a whetstone, because the edge was so dull I doubt it could cut a stick of butter. It is totally useless until I can get a file to sharpen it properly (and we’re camping so I cannot just go out to my toolbox and grab one).

HUSKY FIBERGLASS HANDLE *** EPIC FAIL ***
What the heck did I come to see about the nicely mocked up axe? The top of axe or eye should of warned me but I didn't think it would ever break or tear away from the axe head. Was I ever wrong. Most axe's handle runs up to the head then is shaped to the head's eye then slid through the head to be seen from the eye the top end of the wooden handle. There you would see either a ⅛" groove lengthwise that is used to hammer in a wedge that is usually made of steel or wood. But the strength of the axe is it's construction, and this one is a total bust. Handle does not even go into the head the same shape as the eye hole is heck it's not even as deep as my index finger width, before it changes shape and size. Picture shows multiple pictures so I can show my EPIC FAIL of a bought fake from Home Depot's Husky Camp NOT

This is a great little hatchet that is cool looking and solid. They call it an axe but it is really a hatchet because of its size but a really good one. It comes with an already keen edge so no need to sharpen it before use. The handle is ergonomically contoured to fit the hand comfortably and firmly. It has good balance and even throws good, which I enjoyed. This will be my fireside hatchet for splitting fat wood and kindling and I'll probably grab it for my camping trips. Good quality hatchet. Thumbs up!

I've been needing a new hatchet for a while, so I decided to order this Husky 1 1/2 lb camp axe to replace an old worn out Ludell camp axe that I've had for a few years that really hadn’t held up super well.
PROS/FEATURES:
*Sleek handle design
*Pretty sharp out of the box
*Durable rugged feel
*Impressive dried wood splitting
*Fairly priced
CONS:
*I would have liked a place to put a lanyard
*Okay this is the safety issue I found: The axe cut through the cheaply made blade guard that was supplied which was pretty dangerous since I could have gotten cut (See My pictures). Husky come up with something more durable!
4 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this product.

This camp axe is awesome! I love that it has some weight to it so it makes chopping or cutting through really easy and friendly. I like that it doesn't have to be super heavy or anything to be able to use it. It comes with the safety cap in case you have little ones or family around that you may need to have it covered. The thing I enjoyed is the ability to clean it as well.

Easy to use and comfortable in hand. This axe is lightweight and can do most light duty wood chopping. Less than 2lbs you can carry this in your backpack for camping. There is a blade protector so you don't cut yourself or your backpack. It's light so anyone can handle this. So far it has worked for me outdoors and does not have any issues. I would recommend this for light duty wood chopping.

I needed a hatchet for around the house/camp-site, and this one fit the bill perfectly. It's just the right length with the 14" handle, and the 1-1/4 pound head makes this thing really easy to swing and split wood with. The composite/rubber handle will be more forgiving than hickory if I hit a knot; it's thick and sticky enough to provide a really good grip, and since it's a Husky it's got a Lifetime Warranty.
I ordered it online, and it arrived on time, and was packaged well. I provided a couple pictures of the packaging. It would be pretty hard to damage a "Camp Axe" / "Hatchet" via shipping, but they still wrapped it in bubble wrap, and boxed it up well.
You can't go wrong with this Husky Camp Axe as an in-store or online purchase..

Husky just makes extremely durable and useful products. This axe is no exception. First of all, it feels great in the hand. It weighs just the right amount. It swings very well and is very sharp. The handle is very comfortable to hold and cushions the blow of the axe against wood. It splits wood very easily and quickly. I had no trouble splitting some wood that was quite hard. I use it to split wood to use in our homemade fire-pit. Great tool. There ya go!
