Yes, they made those plastic inserts hard to take out, and I assume that was to prevent theft. What I know worked for me, was the first set twisting, Yes broke them off inside the extensions. My second time with these, I simply pulled them and rocked them back and forth hard enough to make that plastic stretch to the point of easing out of the ends.
Hey S1nb4d, There are little tabs right next to the attachment point that need to be cut then the extensions can twist and pull off. Thanks!
It's not safe to use chrome plated sockets with an impact wrench. The chrome plating could crack and send high speed chips flying.
It does not come with a holder tray. I would assume Home Depot sells one separately, but am not certain.
Grandad, This is a wobble extension set. It wobbles to give you flexibility to get into tight or awkward places.
